General Terms and Conditions ("GTC")
for events organized by Highpoints Events GmbH – valid for “The Grand Table” at Schönbrunn Palace
I. General – Scope of Application
Unless otherwise explicitly agreed, these Terms and Conditions apply to all services and deliveries provided by Highpoints Events GmbH in connection with the event "The Grand Table" at Schönbrunn Palace.
Ticket sales are handled either directly by Highpoints Events GmbH or through authorized ticketing partners. The respective terms and conditions of these partners also apply.
Highpoints Events GmbH assumes no responsibility for events hosted by third parties and is not liable for refunding tickets to such events.
II. Contract Formation
The event information and pricing presented on the website or in promotional materials serve as a non-binding invitation to place an order.
By completing the booking process and clicking the “place binding order” button, the customer submits a legally binding offer.
A contract is only concluded when Highpoints Events GmbH accepts the offer, either through explicit confirmation or by delivering the ticket (electronically or physically).
Highpoints Events GmbH reserves the right to reject any offer without providing reasons. Details on legal cancellation rights can be found in Section IV.
III. Prices, Payment, Tickets
All prices include applicable VAT. The total amount is due immediately upon booking.
Tickets are only valid after full payment has been received. In case of late payment, default interest of 8% p.a. will apply.
Any shipping, payment, or system fees will be displayed separately before finalizing the order.
Tickets are delivered electronically or sent via post.
Ticket exchanges or cancellations are not permitted, except where legal cancellation rights apply.
Discounted tickets are only valid in combination with the appropriate proof of eligibility.
Only the designated seat on the ticket may be occupied. Unauthorized seat changes may lead to removal from the event.
Tickets must not be copied, altered, or misused. In cases of misuse, the organizer reserves the right to deny entry.
IV. Right of Withdrawal
According to § 18 (1) Z 10 of the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (FAGG), no legal right of withdrawal applies to services related to leisure activities scheduled for a specific date.
Therefore, cancellation after contract conclusion is excluded.
V. Resale and Ticket Transfer
The commercial resale of tickets without written permission from Highpoints Events GmbH is strictly prohibited.
Discounted or personalized tickets may only be transferred with prior written approval.
Requests must be submitted to info@grandtable.at. Approval may be denied if the resale price exceeds the original price by more than 25%.
Unauthorized resale may result in denial of entry to the event.
VI. Cancellations and Changes
The event may be canceled or rescheduled for important reasons (e.g. illness, force majeure, official orders, weather). This decision is made by the on-site event management.
If the original venue becomes unavailable, the organizer will strive to provide an alternative date or location.
If the event is canceled up to 45 minutes after its official start, ticket costs will be refunded. No refund is possible after this time.
Changes to the program, menu, cast, or schedule do not justify refunds or price reductions, provided the overall character of the event remains intact.
VII. Official Requirements
If the event cannot take place or must be limited due to legal or governmental regulations, seat changes, alternative dates, or refunds may become necessary.
In such cases, Highpoints Events GmbH will attempt to provide a reasonable solution. If no such option is available, the ticket price will be refunded.
VIII. Liability
Highpoints Events GmbH is only liable for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence on its part or by its agents.
Liability for weather-related disruptions is excluded.
Highpoints Events GmbH is not liable for services provided by third parties (e.g. transportation).
IX. Venue – Schönbrunn Palace
The event takes place in a historic location with special requirements.
Weapons, glass bottles, animals (except assistance dogs), drugs, or dangerous items are strictly prohibited.
Guests must follow staff instructions at all times. Disruptive behavior may result in removal from the premises.
The house rules of Schönbrunn Palace are binding for all guests.
X. Final Provisions
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and conflict of laws rules.
Jurisdiction is Vienna, Inner City District, unless mandatory consumer protection laws stipulate otherwise.
If any provision of these GTC is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. In such cases, a valid replacement clause will be applied that closely matches the economic intent of the original provision.
